Wolf3d made me a PC-gamer back in the day, and the Wolfenstein series have always been a part of my gaming collection shame Youngblood was a major step back. But THIS i am gonna try, downloading the mod now and ready to enjoy a Classic once again. 😎

its good but wlf 2009 is great it has everything I want from a single player wolf game.... the newer one are pretty decent not amazing I feel ppl were too harsh on the gameplay of youngblood if u took the time to explore its a pretty addictive and smart game..most people dint really go in depth with the mechanics beyond the initial crap.

I think a lot of the eeriness in these older games comes from the level layout. Long, blocky hallways and rooms that will give that "Luminal" space feeling. A lot of modern games are more expansive, open world based so i think less of that exists apart from a few games these days - Some thing like a Dead Space or Resident evil game might have

After all these years, this game STILL rocks!!

RTCW is truly one of the best single-player shooters ever. I have soooo many hours in that game. Awesome to see it getting love 23 years after release. Great job, Mack!

Brighton isnt fictional btw. Two towns over - mid Michigan - we have a Brighton. The police is way more competent than displayed here though :P

I last played this in August 2021 and it was so fun, and no bugs that I noticed, not sure what happened to this game :(

This is the game that got me into PC Gaming. I forget how many times i played through the campaign and i used to play the multiplayer online on 56k dial up every night. Fucking good times.

RTCW is £1.59 now on Steam in the Summer sale.

It's not a realistic cop sim if the number one crime you have to arrest people for isn't using the wrong pronoun on social media.

Overrated game

I really installed RTCW and was not aware of this mod, looks like a must have.

The adding enemies option is broken though. Because if you toggle it on soldiers start appearing in areas like in the middle of the crypt or right before the final boss (where you are supposed to be alone)

Wanna feel old? The time period passed between now and the release of RtCW is DOUBLE the time passed between the release of Wolfenstein3D and RtCW. Holy crap.

Quake III engine there is something about that engine every game build on it is great. It's time to get backagain to RTCW with this mod.

For those who are interested there is a Wolfenstein Enemy Territory single player/ coop mod out there that based on this mod to work. It’s great fun, definitely should check it out.

MAC! If you have a VR headset, which Im not sure you do because I think you think its a gimmick.. You should try DrBeef's port of RTCW for VR! It works on the Quest I think. Honestly I love it. Its not exactly built for VR but it still works really well. The crypt levels scared me like it did as a child. I did get through, but it was horror and I loved it. I dare you to try the crypt in VR haha I wish they would bring back RTCW MP for VR actually. I used to be a bunnyhopping madman engineer. I LOVE THIS GAME

A true blast from the past. Its multiplayer was free because it was a failed expansion pack and quickly became one of the hottest games at the time. Most modern games still dont have class based gameplay as good as W:ET did.

Nightdive Studios needs to remaster this. I also hope OpenGL wrappers get worked on, so this can be remastered in NVIDIA RTX Remix. This game would looks so freaking awesome with proper lighting, not to mention goddamn scary in the catacombs.

Easily the best train simulator out there, if they don't rush EA this game could be it for me.

Love the old minimal clutter corridor shooters, it was just you and what you had to shoot, can't see the forest for the trees in most modern games. I swear 90% of the reason it takes so long and costs so much money to make modern games is the 300 extra people needed to just design and place the vast quantities of shit in a level.
